This Channel Four documentary looked at the current travails of the Royal Family, making the argument that a policy of courting the media was ultimately to blame. Though the programme traced this back to Disraeli and his "Empress of India" nonsense, the contemporary villain of the piece was Prince Philip inviting the cameras into the Palace for a 1969 TV documentary after which the genie could not be put back in the bottle.
